President’s Trophy 2023

Day/ Date: Sunday, Dec 10, 2023 pm.

The game was suspended in 2020 and 2021 due to Covid-19. 2022 only game, no dinner.  This is first time after three years that members have game + dinner.

Game

First flight – President Lai Mun Onn tee-off with Secretary Melvin Chia, Treasurer Lim Chin Chuan, and Advisor Eddy Ng, started at 12.05 pm from hole 1.

Followed suit by VP Eric Tan and the rest of MC members

All-in 23 flights, and about 85 members golfers.

Weather was perfect, not much sun, not hot, and no rain. President: “God blessed Keppel Club” (after game, during dinner speech).

Dinner

Executive Chef Raymond Heng led the team to prepare the food (see menu attached). Crowd favourite: laksa, nonya style, special recipe from Executive Sous-chef Javier Lim.

Name of the live band: Platinum Band (3-piece band). Among the songs they sang: Sway, Perfect, Tarzan Boy, Little Respect … several catchy evergreen songs which members clapped and sang along eg. Top of the World, Sweet Caroline ,,,
